The Driskill Hotel is located at the corner of 6th & Brazos. You really can’t miss it. We’ll meet outside on the staircase which faces the corner of 6th & Brazos. Your guide will be wearing black or something ghost themed!

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in and use the restroom- this is your only restroom opportunity on the tour.

  • OR Arrive 20-30 minutes early to grab a drink at the spectacular Driskill Bar.

  • Other tours and tour companies meet at the Driskill hotel, too. If you follow the above directions and come to corner staircase looking for your guide, you’ll be in the right place. We are not in period costume.

  • By request of management, please don’t sit down on the stairs or block their path.

  • We will begin at 8:15 sharp so please have your restroom break and bar bill handled by then. Bar drinks may be consumed in the lobby.

Weather:

Rain: Please keep an eye on the weather leading up to your tour. We will usually run the tour in the rain, so please cancel more than 24 hours in advance if this is a problem for you.

Heat: It can get very hot in Austin. On hot days, it is important that you bring water with you on the tour.

Cold: Downtown can actually be a little colder on cold days due to wind. Please bring an extra layer on cold days. We typically keep on schedule if it snows.

Sitting, Wheelchairs, and Strollers:

It is not an issue for us to take a wheel-friendly route. If you show up with a wheelchair or stroller, the route will be accessible for you.

If you are on foot, please note that there are only a few opportunities to sit down on this tour.

Cancellation:

If there’s a booking, we show up. We don’t cancel due to low guest-count. We also don’t cancel due to rain, heat, or cold.
